Inner Fire Tantra Techniques Empty
PostSubject: Inner Fire Tantra Techniques   Inner Fire Tantra Techniques EmptySat Mar 12, 2011 2:03 pm

This exercise is used too heat up your body in extremely cold temperature's and the heat can last for many hours. One man even set a world record using this techinue by laying in freezing cold water under 27 degree's for hours.

Inner Fire Yoga, or Tum-mo, is the basic method used in the advanced stage of most tantra systems. When doing this practice, we will need to visualize our body in a certain way. This is called the "Vajra Body" and incorporating it into our self-image provides a useful way to work with our bodily energies. The structures visualized are not actually there when the body is autopsied. There are correlates with our physical bodies, yet that is only part of the picture. When we close our eyes and feel our bodies, it is hard to deny that different parts of the body have different energies and feelings. In any case, to do the practices, one needs to suspend disbelief and visualize the postulated structures and energies. After extended practice, the visualizations become internalized and become powerful tools for calming ourselves, connecting with the body and channeling energy.

Rationale: As babies, we are born with blissful energy freely flowing throughout our entire body. As we develop, this energy is inhibited by the traumas of life and stored in our neuromuscular systems. We no longer breathe freely and our muscles become distorted with tension and stored psychic and physical pain. Inner Fire Yoga teaches us a method to free up this trapped energy and use it to our advantage.

Inner Fire Yoga as a Way to Redirect the Energy of Anger, Sexual Desire and Other Emotions: If we look carefully at emotion, we find that an emotion is actually a energized physical sensation in one part of the body or another. Thoughts are superimposed on these energies. The energy of emotion can scatter us, or we can learn to use it to center ourselves. In Inner Fire Yoga, energy is generated and collected in the navel chakra and spread upward through the center of our body, centering and energizing us in a positive way.

Sexual desire and anger can be very useful. Sexual energy in most adults is usually limited to the area of the sexual chakra. When this energy is spread throughout the body, it really isn't just sexual anymore. It is a total body energized or "blissful" feeling. This is not the ordinary limited bliss of orgasm. Sexual energy can be freed up and distributed throughout the body by moving it into the navel chakra and then doing the Inner Fire Yoga. Anger is energy also, but the energy can be harmful. In the inner fire yoga we can learn to take the energy of anger (usually felt in the solar plexus) and throw it also into the navel chakra as fuel.

Emptiness:

The "blissful" body is only half of the equation in Tantra. The other half is the indispensable understanding of non-dual awareness, or "emptiness" (the mind free or empty of conceptual divisions).

Chakras - Energy centers of the body that we postulate. Certain energy centers correlate with certain feelings (e.g., grief is felt in the heart).
Channels - Pathways that connect the energy centers. There are many, but we visualize three main ones. Our bodily energies flow along these pathways.
Drops - Little packages of consciousness/energy that flow through the channels. We postulate these, place our awareness on them and this stimulates energy in that area of the body. (Variously called drops, tigle, kundalini energy.)
Psychophysical knots - Areas of the body which are hardened or tense due to stored emotional or physical trauma. A knot is visualized as a crinkled or twisted channel in the area where it meets a chakra. Usually the heart chakra has the biggest knot problem.

Very Short Outline of Inner Fire Yoga:
1. Nine breathings (to settle the body and mind);
2. Picturing oneself as a hollow body;
3. The Six Hatha Yoga Exercises to free up the body's energy. See Mullin, Glenn, The Six Yogas of Naropa, Snow Lion Pub.
4. Visualization of the "Vajra Body" (illustrated above);
5. Generation of energy in the navel chakra;
6. Moving the energy up and down the central channel (in various ways) producing a total-body "bliss."

7. Application of the non-dual mind. This "bliss" produced by the above method is a bodily state of relaxed focused clear consciousness that is very conducive to the state of Non-dual Awareness emphasized in some lineages of Insight meditation, Dzogchen (where it is referred to as "Rigpa" or The Natural State"), Highest Yoga Tantra, (Where it is referred to as 'The Union of "Bliss and Emptiness," "Method and Wisdom," "Male and Female," or Mahamudra);
8.Use of mantra or sound. After we have attained this state of mind and body which is free of conceptualizing and thoughts, we can use mantra to "fill the vacuum" that is left and keep the old patterns from creeping back into consciousness. Always appropriate is the mantra of Shakyamuni Buddha

The Inner Fire Yoga along with Tum-mo, and Tantra are more times than not aimed at awakening the chakras and keeping them flowing in the right manner so as to awaken the Kundalini. But its generally advised not to awaken the Kundalini prematurely since as a strong psychic energy it can or will have effects on the mind/psyche. If you consider the placement of the chakras and that they are in areas where the nerve plexuses are it then could cause bodily harm if the Kundalini passed through them. Alot of Yoga Teachers caution about it for this very reason. Saying it could cause schizophrenia, nervous breakdown, maybe even death.

Furthermore, even if the chakras are opened and developed and all of that sometimes its still not advised until the brain has become fully myelinated because the nervous system can't take it.

"Some kundalini activity is no doubt apparent in childhood and related to growth in general. Children do experience all kinds of psychic phenomena and strange-body sense stuff. But for a full on awakening the nervous system must be fully myelinated to avoid serious damage, also that degree of charge will not carry in an un-myelinated system cause the nerves are not insulated for "speed." Full myelination occurs in the early twenties and a lot of people have their first awakening at 27-29 years.

Approximately 7 years after full myelination at 27-29 years is breaking away from the family meme time. This is an enormously difficult period when one is trying to workout who one is and what is reality is beyond the dicates of the family collective mind. This is an organic process that arises of its own accord and is not necessary a process of "thinking" but of alchemical upheaval and restructuring of the brain. The tensions involved in having codependencies, enmeshments and family dynamics made conscious is enormous and often sparks a kundalini awakening or schizophrenic breakdown at this time. There can be an exaggeration of or rebellion from family patterns and beliefs as the matrix of the family psyche becomes more available to conscious introspection, or childhood patterns reach their zenith. Personally I don't think adulthood starts until after this crisis. If the crisis doesn't occur the individual remains predominantly a socially conditioned being with little self-will or Self realization.

This individuation crisis occurs around 7 years after full myelination of the brain. Myelination of course is related to socio-emotional and functional use of the brain, laid down mostly in response to the family environment. So that when this next 7-year-cycle of neuron pruning arises there is a physiological evaluation of the brains neural networks to assess their validity and value. This is why "everything" seems to arise out of the woodwork at this time, repression mechanisms are lifted and the contents of our neurology seem to impress themselves on our minds.

Since neural pruning after full myelination involves a more extreme method of axon death, a kundalini awakening might occur in order to create the massive oxidation, apoptosis and self-digestion necessary for a brain overhaul. This is especially so if the individual experienced chronic deprivation, rejection, abuse or developmental deficiency of some sort during their first 27 years.

The kundalini cycle probably follows the 7 year neuron growth cycles that Joseph Chilton Pearce pointed out. Further research will probably find that we all go through 7 year neurodetoxification cycles that might show up in changes in mood state, mania, depression or the 7 year itch. A 7 year full-on kundalini cycle being a very obvious version of a developmental process that is usually more subterranean. Depending on the set point the symptoms may be observable or not. This also might be keyed into the 7 year solar cycle."

I personally heat up my body with my own energy.
To be exact, everyone can reinforce their bodx with energy, while fighting, while being in cold and many more.
Staying with energy is easier, helps you for your enrgy control and kinesis and more. Wink

I think it's time to rock and revive this topic. I can subconsciously using this technique. When I came out of my house, it's like 14-15 celcius out there. But I didn't feel cold at all despite the fact I'm wearing a t shirt and jean. That was 2 years ago. Now it seem like I lost this wonderful ability Sad

Out of all the techniques on this forum this one is the most accurate & efficient as it's proven on multiple videos even a show called Stan lees super-humans if you want to check that out. It has also been used by Tibetan monks for century's as-well.

Here is a example of the inner fire tantra
